iMig strives to play a central role in identifying and endorsing the best treatments available for mesothelioma patients today and establishing the best possible treatments of tomorrow. The society aims to accomplish this mission by:
Mesothelioma Research:
- Serve as an international resource to connect like-minded discovery, translational, and clinical investigators seeking collaborations
- Serve as a resource to advise, endorse, and potentially sponsor mesothelioma researchers
- Provide a forum for presentation and discussion of research
Mesothelioma Treatment:
- Provide a forum for proposing, vetting, and establishing collaborative preclinical research and clinical trials
- Provide an academic forum for practitioners involved with integrative treatments for mesothelioma and those focused on quality-of-life enhancement
Mesothelioma Education:
- Educate the scientific community through meetings, website postings, and iMig statement publications
- Educate the medical community through meetings, website postings, and iMig statement publications
- Educate patients and the public through publications and iMig statements regarding mesothelioma and asbestos-related public health issues
